By road from Glasgow, head west on the A82 until you reach the Lomondside village of Tarbet in Argyll, then join the A83 and keep going to reach Campbeltown.
Campbeltown is linked by 5 buses a day to and from Glasgow (926) provided by West Coast Motors and Citylink.
Passenger and cycle links to Northern Ireland by Kintyre Express. The islands of Gigha, Islay, Jura and Arran are all served by Caledonian MacBrayne ferries.
The local airport provides two flights per weekday and one on Sunday in the summer via Loganair to and from Glasgow International Airport.
